Prayer of Thanks for His Laws

Thank You, Lord, for Your Law.

Your Law is there to guide us through the hard times in our life -- the hardest decisions, the life-changing ones that we are called to make occasionally in our lives.

You have set the law down to protect us, and to give us the future that YOU have planned for us -- one of hope, and success, with love that cannot be measured, and to teach us to love completely and without abandon.

Even when the Law tells us to go against what we would want for ourselves, it is a reminder that You know what is best for us; and, it is a call to trust You, even when the answer is "No."

I have more faith for having your law as a guide, and more confidence in the knowledge of right living. While I am humbled by the weight of it at times, I find myself grateful for the guidance -- and for the strength You give to those who obey.

I pray for Your forgiveness when I find myself too weak, and that You somehow give me the nudge I need to stand up again when I fail.

In Jesus' Holy Name I pray,

Amen

Thanking God Today

Lord, I thank You today for all my blessings -- for your grace and your mercy in my life. I thank You that you sustain me, for Your provision and Your love.

I thank You for old friends who stay in touch. They remind me of where I have come from and how far You have brought me.

I pray that my day is profitable, both for me and for You. But, even if I fail, I know YOU won't fail me!

I ask that You continue to work in my life, and that You work in the lives of my loved ones everywhere. I pray that you watch over my sons, and that You direct their paths, and whatever it takes, may it lead them to You and the knowledge of Your love and build their faith in You.

I pray that you be with my church, that you provide the enlarged walls and the reason to enlarge them, as You continue to enlarge the hearts of each of it's members! And, for my Pastor, who has a big responsibility and a large task at hand as he teaches us to be Your hands and feet.

Thank you, Lord, most of all, for Your son, Jesus, who has made it possible to have a relationship with You!

In the name of Jesus I pray,

Amen

Please Pray for Sheri Nichols

Update now leaving St . Michael. I have a kidney stone. It's small , going too CVS too get antibiotics and pain meds, see Dr Peterson on Monday and Dr Picklemon on Wednesday.

===

Update : Just heard from Nurse practitioner she said that all Labs were good potassium was low, chest x-ray both lungs are clear, strep throat was negative flu was negative urine was negative, just waiting on CT results. Her hypothesis is possibly have a little abscess in my open wound and probably need some IV antibiotics but she is turning me over to the doctor in the hospital because her shift is ending, after they get results from Radiology which the radiologist leaves the hospital in about 30 minutes so it may take up to an hour for them to be read over the internet. Possible abscess in my open wound. So the Dr Schmidt the ER doctor and Dr. Beth Peterson will conference on the telephone about what to do about my infection. That's all I can tell you at this point. Thanks for praying and keep them coming.

Temp 101. Surgeon notified. Said she would wait too see what labs say..... Please remember me in your prayers. And God bless

Please Pray for Cheryl Northcutt (Updated! 11/3//18)

Update: November 3, 2018

Cheryl has received the perfect healing. She is with Jesus, now.

Richard, her husband, is in need of your prayers at this time. He was devoted to her up until the very last moment. This whole ordeal has been hard for him. Now, we pray for strength so he can move forward, knowing she is getting the best care possible.

Cheryl leaves behind both Mom and Dad , 2 AMAZING sons , Jordan and Nick, they all need your prayers!

Update: 10/18/2018 -- Cheryl is now on comfort care. She is not doing well. Her journey may be almost over. Her husband, Richard, has been with her every step of the way, and this has taken a toll on both of them. I still believe things could get better for Cheryl because we have an AWESOME GOD! This same God that has allowed her to go home from the hospital where she could be happier. The same God that gave her such a loving husband to go through this with her. The same God that, when and IF the time comes, is going to give her the BIGGEST blessing of all.

Please continue to pray for Cheryl. She, and her family, need it now more than ever!

7/26/17 -- Cheryl is moving to a private room! She's doing MUCH better!

7/21/17 -- Today is Cheryl and Richard's anniversary. Please pray for both of them.

7/20/17 -- 8 am -- Cheryl has had a miraculous improvement.
She is still breathing on her own.
Vitals are normal.
Her kidney function is improving. Her brain function is improving.
Going to remove the tubes from mouth, she will get a tracheotomy and a peg tube(feeding tube)
God is truly working miracles

9/16/17 -- 9:00 AM -- Richard Northcutt writes: My beautiful wife Cheryl Northcutt is making an amazing physical recovery however her mental condition is still to early to give a prognosis.

Please continue to lift Cheryl Northcutt and the two boys Jordan Parker and Nicky Parker up in prayers.

9/15/17 -- 9:15 AM PRAISE GOD! CHERYL IS BREATHING ON HER OWN!

7/15/17 -- Cheryl is improving, but still on life support. Keep praying! She IS improving!

7/12/17 -- 3 PM Debbie Taylor writes: Just went to pray with Cheryl, Richard and family. Her eyes stayed opened and she fixated on one of the sons as if intently listening. Lungs look better on X-ray and they will try to turn the ventilator down a bit later today to see how she does with breathing a little more on her own. Will do another EEG tomorrow for a scale check.

Folks, I'm seeing God at work and a family living through the power of prayer! Our God is an awesome God and He is what sustains all involved here! Richard is hanging in there and continues to be thankful for the prayers, love and support that is shown him.

This is good news in baby steps so let's keep the prayers going!

7/11/17 -- Debbie Taylor writes: NEW UPDATE AS OF THIS MORNING JULY 11th:
Spoke with Richard Northcutt this morning and here it is as stands. All the information from the very beginning is like baby steps. Any changes mention are small in size but that's ok. We know this is more than likely going to be a lengthy process. So here goes.

EEG's have been done a few times so far. On a scale of 1-10 Cheryl is at a 4-4.5. The goal to have here is a 7 minimum. Of course we all want a 10! The doctors are monitoring this closely with EEG's every so often. Even though her breathing has improved but still on the ventilator and vital organs are working, the brain is the focus right now. She spiked a fever last night due to the infection but it is back down this morning.

We cannot waiver with prayers, we need massive amounts of praying for God to handle this since the doctors are doing the waiting period process. We know God can show up and show out with this situation at any given time. So let us all do what we do best and give it to God and let Him do what He can do!

Richard did want everyone to know these details as I have laid out. I don't want people to think I'm violating the HIPPA act. He is so appreciative of how we are rallying around him and feels the love that everyone is showing. He is leaning totally on God the Father for healing and leaning on us for support. Let us continue to hold up this family in all ways possible.

Will update if and when anything changes. May God bless this family in a mighty way!

7/10/17 -- Cheryl had a setback yesterday.
At 8:00 AM, Debbie Taylor writes: Just spoke with Richard Northcutt on the phone and after a rough night, she has started improving once again. Praise God that we are all witnessing God at work. Infection seems to be improving and her breathing with the ventilator has once again improved. Fever has dropped from the infection. So I just know that God is not done with her yet! Prayers, prayers, prayers!
Please keep praying!

7/9/17 -- As of 5 AM, Richard writes: As many may know my beautiful wife Cheryl Northcutt is in ICU Wadley.
She is on life support. Her breathing is improving. She is responding to noise and light. She is fighting a major infection.
Continued prayers are needed.

As of 8 PM, there has been no change in Cheryl's condition. She is still on life support. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!

7/8/17 UPDATE: As of 8:00 AM this morning, Cheryl's husband, Richard has reported that Cheryl is stable! Not out of the woods, keep praying!

Cheryl has recently had complications from surgery, in which she had pneumonia and her lungs were to be drained. Complications occurred and now she is on Life Support. She has not been responsive for at least 24 hours. Please keep her and her husband Richard in your prayers as they go through this. Pray that God brings her back strong and completely heals her. Pray for strength for Richard as he deals with this crisis. Make her responsive so she can fight this!

No matter what happens, we know that God knows best.

Thank you, Lord, for Soldiers, Parents and My children

Lord, today I want to thank you for letting me be born in a place in the world that has sheltered me from the persecution of living my faith. But, I know the time of reckoning is coming soon, and we will all be called to stand up and proclaim Your majesty in the face of terror. I pray that when that day comes, that You will give me strength to stand strong, even if it may cost me my life. There is no freedom without You.

I thank You for all of those who have gone before us, for us, to parts of the world we have never seen, to fight enemies that we are unaware of here in our cozy homes as we live our lives and raise our children in peace and comfort. I pray that the apathy that comes with that is somehow diminished as we realize how important these souls, our veterans, our heroes are. Give me the opportunity to thank them in a way that makes a difference to them when they come home to a different kind of war. Help us to have their backs as they have had ours.

I pray for the parents on this list who need to realize the importance of what they do on our future, and our children's future. What we teach them they will carry on to teach their children. May we teach them to be true to You, to have integrity, to be brave, and to succeed in being who YOU created them to be. May they honor us in the way we honor You.

I pray for my children, who have gone out into the world to make their own way. They are searching for themselves, and trying to find common ground with what they were taught, and what they wish to believe and practice. May their paths lead straight into YOUR arms, whatever it takes. And may they one day find peace in their hearts with understanding of the gifts they have been given by You, and use them to honor You. Nothing would make me prouder as a parent. Whether they succeed or fail in this world is not important to me. Rather, I pray they will succeed in finding their purpose in You, in storing up the riches in YOUR Kingdom that will maintain them for eternity is all that matters to me.

Thank you for helping me to see what REALLY matters in this life, and for showing me that all my ambitions in life are but nothing without You in it.

In Jesus' Holy Name I pray, Amen
